1981
Heritage House Healthcare becomes the family’s 10th location
Heritage House Healthcare, now known as PruittHealth – Valdosta, in Valdosta, Georgia
1989
The PruittHealth family crosses state lines into South Carolina and expands to 15 locations
PruittHealth – Blythewood skilled nursing and rehabilitation center in Columbia, South
Carolina
1995
North Carolina becomes the third state in which the family provides care with the opening of The
Oaks — Brevard
Brevard Health Care Center, now The Oaks – Brevard, as rendered in 1995
1998
PruittCares Foundation is established
Camp Cocoon, a bereavement camp for children, organized by the PruittCares Foundation
2003
Florida joins the list of states in which the PruittHealth family serves with Santa Rosa becoming
the 50th facility
PruittHealth – Santa Rosa becomes the 50th facility and the first in Florida
2007
Neil Pruitt, Jr., now Chairman & CEO, brings the family back under one roof with the relocation
of the home office to Norcross
